If you like a lot of swagger in your country music, then go see a Rise Against show! Every show we've seen in Reno, NV, has been a blast, and this time, I have to admit that the band seemed a tiny bit road-weary, having been touring behind the album 3 Pears for quite a while now. They shook it off quickly, though, delivering the goods in a fun, loud, musically excellent, hit-filled, dance-worthy show that had us finding some standing room so we could escape from the somewhat stick-in-the-mud crowd of AARP membership candidates in our section. This time, they took the stage looking raucous with "Dim Lights, Thick Smoke" (except our moms, neither of whom could sit still either).
